Bakit? Paki-explain.

88lbs? Seriously?

Bakit ganun??

And we had our favorite salisbury steak.

A day after nyan, food trip naman kami sa Antipolo. With June, Kim, Baby Faye and Zaicy ofcourse.

Zaicy, June and Nita Negrita! lol
Kim, Me and Baby Faye
So first stop namin sa Cafe Christina.

Yummy Hershey's Choco Cheese Cake
And then, we went to Tiolo. Second time ko na sa Tiolo, pero parang mas okay yun food nun first punta ko.

Mushroom Soup
Pork Belly with Java Rice
Last stop sa Chickboy, we ordered mango ensalada plus something de leche (can't remember the exact name), and a bottle of Antonov Cosmopolitan each.

A day after ulet, post birthday celebration naman ni Lori. Nawili kami sa El Pedro's Grill so dun ulet kami kumain.

Sophie, Lori, Me, Joana & Rnix
Mic & Joel

The best ang pizza nila dun!  Thin crust, sweet style sauce, plus isang kilong toppings, char.

El Pedro's Grill Special
Mexican something..
Super love ko din yun pork budbod! Imagine, naka-2 slice ng pizza ako at yun budbod rice! Yum yum!

Pork Budbod
So bakit nga lalo ako pumapayat kahit kain naman ako ng kain? Paki-bigyan ako ng scientific explanation.

No, I'm not complaining.

Brave!

I have been wanting to watch Brave ever since I first saw its trailer months ago. I was supposed to watch it with Zaizai yesterday, but it was not shown in SM Taytay. The "huge" SM Taytay has only 3 cinemas, 2 of them are showing Bourne Legacy and the other is Sadako, the 3rd sequel of The Ring.

I felt I was already "brave" enough to watch Sadako after surviving my first horror movie. But Zai warned me that Japanese horror films would be 100x more frightening than The Healing so I backed out. Instead, we went on a pig-out day.

I arrived in SM right after Zai has devoured his Jollibee Spaghetti. We strolled a little and then decided to eat lunch in French Baker.  I have been craving for seafood pasta so I had their Spicy Seafood Marinara. It was really yummy except for being a little too spicy that made me a bit teary eyed, lol. I still loved it though. Zaicy had Chicken Parmigiana which I think is also good because he was able to finish it no time.

Spicy Seafood Pasta
Chicken Parmigiana
After our pasta meals, we then went to DQ for their uber famous blizzard. And then to Red Ribbon for a slice of cake each, haha! Gluttony-for-a-day was actually my idea and again, I caused Zai to break his diet. Sorry bff! I eat a lot whenever I'm stressed out.

Anyways, that was yesterday. Earlier today, I met up with a college friend named Chay. Zai and Chay, cute names no? I haven't seen Chay for like 6 years but it didn't feel like it. We talked about a lot of things. He said that I haven't changed much, except for my braces, and the fact that I now talk a lot, haha.

I haven't had enough of pasta so I ate Lasagna in Pizza Hut. He had Fettuccine Alfredo. It's fun to reminisce college days over delish food and bottomless iced tea.

We watched Brave after. I've seen negative reviews about Brave online but personally I loved it. Though the characters' accent was a bit odd, I didn't have any problem understanding them, it actually sounded cute to me. Is it Irish? I don't know.

The boys and Merida
It featured a control freak mom-slash-queen and her stubborn-I-want-my-freedom-I-don't-want-to-marry daughter and the curse that they broke thru love, of course. I love Merida's 3 little baby brothers who turned into cute little...oops! No spoilers.

Plus I also missed Archery in this film. Which reminds me that Gandiva currently have discounted vouchers for lessons and food in beeconomic.

My brain is dead empty right now and I don't even know how to end this post so I'll just say bye.. for now.

Ace Water Spa Atbp!

Cameras are not allowed! Seriously?!

Well, that probably is the only major setback in Ace Water Spa. That made us all sad. We're all cam addicts, you know, lol!

Habang ang daming dumadaang sasakyan, hehe!

But with Ace Water Spa's facilities and service? There's nothing negative that I can say.

Me, Zaicy and Lori arrived at around 3pm and went directly to the reception area. We are not paying the full price of PhP550 (PhP250 for kids) because we are using discounted vouchers from CashCashPinoy. There was a special queue for voucher holders and we were accommodated readily! Prompt service, yeah! You will then be provided with your locker keys.

We went to the locker rooms. They would ask you to deposit your shoes upon entry. They have slippers there that you can use so there's no need to bring your own! You will also be given shower caps that you are required to use.

Important Rules: Only swimwears are allowed, no cover-ups, no undies! No mobile phones and again no cameras! No food/beverages! So you would basically have to leave the locker room only with yourself, your swimsuit and your locker key strapped around your wrists! That's it!

Okay, so then we went to the Spa! I was wearing string bikinis, and it was a huge mistake! I suggest you wear something that fits snugly to your body. Go for boylegs and wide-strapped tops! Why? Because the water pressure in some pools is so high and it almost took my swimsuits off, lol!

I don't know how many "hydrotherapy massage" pools they have but the one that I most enjoyed is the Rainfall Acupuncture! It is like lying on a bed in your rooftop while it is raining! Yes, it is relaxing and a bit tickling. I also liked the Lazy Pool where you will ride on a floating board while the water current carries you around.

The other massages are too hard for my body that I can't even stand it even for 1min (they suggest you stay for 3-5mins), it felt like someone is punching me. That's maybe because I'm too small and skinny, and I have low tolerance for pain.

They also have those hot herbal pools! It's like dipping your body in a teapot! But I cannot stand the Sauna nor the Steam Bath, it will kill me with dehydration! But they do have purified water dispensers available, in case you feel the need to rehydrate. Or if you want to tease your friend by pouring cold water to her right after dipping in the hot pool just like what me and Zaicy did to Lori, lol! But FYI, it is actually recommended that you dip yourself in the freezing cold pool after the hot bath, they say it is to keep you heart rate normal. So Lori, we did you a favor! :)

You can stay at the spa for a max of 4hrs! We got tired after about 2 hrs, we had our last round of the Rainfall Acupuncture and Hot Pool, and decided to go. The shower area has shampoo and body wash available! I still suggest you bring hair conditioner though, you know how much pool water makes your hair dry. They have hair dryers and hair gels available for use too! Very convenient, right?

There's Zaicy and Lori! And "hon" at the back, hehe!
Me in my blue dress and shoes! Terno dapat sabi ni Zaicy!
So after the mini pictorial session, we then walked from the hotel to Shangri La Mall. We were looking for Power Planet Sports to check out Arena's rash guard that we will be using for our La Union Surfing Trip week after next.

Since we were already starving, we left Shangri La and went to Mesa in Mega Atrium! They serve mainly Filipino dishes. We ordered Chicken and Pork Adobo, Laing 2 ways, and the Sea Food Bean Curd Soup! The Laing is superb, like!

Tastes more like Chicken and Pork Mechado, hihi!
confused na soup
yummy laing

Look at Zaicy and Lori, they look good together, eh? Too bad, Lori's married and Zaicy's gay, lol!

And there I was, alone at the other side of the table singing..

♪ I was not so happy being lonely
Living without you...

And then came along Empi, and the song continues ..

You and I
We were meant to be
Sweet as rain falling from the sky

These are all the many changes in my life..

The Mark and JRo Love Team by Lili, haha!
I'm just kidding everyone! Me and Empi are just friends (showbiz?!lol!). Anyways, I don't know why but I've had LSS with that song since this morning, haha!

Back to the original story.. After eating in Mesa, we then went to Chewy Jr. to claim my 2 boxes of mini cream puffs that I bought from Ensogo! We ate a box of cream puffs for dessert, yummy!

Surprisingly, I was not satisfied with that and I wanted to eat more.. Icecream in DQ!! I had too much dose of sugar last night, haha! And though, I tried hard not to buy new shoes, I still did! Thanks to my uber kunsintidor friends, hmp!

It's already past 9pm and we had to go home! Til our next lakwatsa guys, which will be next Friday, right? :)

Last Friday Night!

Dinner and Movie Night Out!

Dahil bago cam mo Lori, picturan mo kami!

Tapos fly to Eastwood na..

Gulat much ako! Excited? First time nakakita ng Mcdo?? Akala kasi nila namin, walang fast food chain sa loob, puro kasi maaarteng resto, hahaha!

Nun ayaw na namin ma-OP sa loob ng mall, nagpunta na lang kami sa Krispy Kreme at kumain ng original glazed donut na fav ko, while waiting for the rest of the barkada..

Lori, Zaicy, Rio and Me
Minus Lori,  Plus Rowie
Bakit? Kasi pinipilit nila kami gawing love team, mga adik! Pero dahil love ko si Nic, her wish is my command..

Fast forward to Dinner time! Like what was originally planned, we ate at Bon Chon!

It was my second time to dine in this resto. And personally, I don't like their chicken! Which is very true, there was nothing special with the food pero super happy dahil nagkasama kami at super namiss ko sila!

Nic, Stacy & Marie
After Dinner, we decided to watch The Amazing Spiderman.. So yun pang 12.30am ang kinuha namin! But Nic, Stacy and Marie had to leave for their own selfish reasons, charot lang po!

We all loved the movie!

P.S. In case interested kayo to know how our friendship started and if you have the luxury of time, read it at Nic's new blog, click here..

Lunch Out!

Last Saturday, I asked Mama what she'll cook for lunch. She said she has no idea and is feeling a little lazy to cook! So I told her that we can just eat out as a pre-Mother's day (simple) celebration. We ate in Palmera Dimsum House because they haven't tried there yet.

Mama and Jaydrex
Papa and Chin-chin
We ordered Lechon Kawali (P150), Chopsuey (P100) and Sharksfin and Siomai (P40 each) and plain rice.

It's my second time to dine here and all I can say is that the food is really great! Papa loved the chopsuey, Chin finished the siomai all by herself, I liked both the sharksfin and lechon kawali, and Mama appreciated all of them (si Jaydrex nang-gulo lang!).

Happy Mother's day ulet Mama! Thanks for being an ever supportive and loving mom! Yey!

Team Building @ Guillean's Place!

This is our first official team building activity after almost 2 years! Plans have been made before but never was it taken seriously. Until I had the proposal that since it's still summer (at malapit na bday ko!), we can go swimming and my teammates agreed (dahil makulit ako!).
We chose to stay at Guillean's Place in Antipolo City. It's a private resort and we paid PhP5000 for 12 hrs stay (7pm to 7am) for 15 persons!
The package is inclusive of use of the pool and outdoor jacuzzi, multi-purpose hall with kitchen and videoke!
For food and drinks, we decided to have a potluck! The food's great, lahat masarap! Wala lang rice, pasaway!
Chips ba?!
The night was filled with lots of laughter, stories, singing, shouting and water splashing! I also had some private swimming lessons with my friends Dan and Zaicy! Yey!
We all had so much fun and I hope this won't be the last! Sana out-of-town naman next time! :)
