Nagcarlan and Liliw - Take 2!

The first time I visited Nagcarlan, I went to the Underground Cemetery. Last Saturday, I came back and saw Bunga Falls. I'm again with my college bestfriends, Ruth and Joana. And this time, we have pretty Rica with us.. Kumpleto ang barkada, yey!

Pikpakan sa JAM Liner!

We arrived at Ruth's home around 12nn, had a quick lunch and then went to the falls. We had to do a little trekking to get to where the falls is.

Short trek pero ka-haggard din!

Entrance fee is quite expensive, we almost could not afford it. Char! PhP5 lang so di na kami nagtaka nun nakita namin na andaming tao.

We crossed a make-shift bridge to get a better view of Bunga Falls. At para makapag-picturan din ng walang sagabal!

Kamusta naman sa dami ng cast!
Bunga Falls with kuyang pasikatera sa pag-dive! Bilib much ako.

We left a few minutes later. We were all excited to go to Liliw.. What do you expect, we're all girls and we just love quality yet affordable shoes! It was even better because we were in time for the Liliw Gat Tayaw Tsinelas Festival..

Hiram hiram ng tindang balloons pag may time! :P

At dahil marami kaming time that day, nakapag-food trip din kami. Barbeque, isaw, fishballs, chicken skin.. street-foods overload.. yummy!

Natuwa din kami sa contest ng "Pinakamaganda na Malaking Sapatos".. Cam whores? Di naman masyadow..

3rd place! Walang pic yun 2nd..
Winner!!

To say that we enjoyed shopping is an understatement, we strolled back and forth the streets of Liliw for almost 5 hours!

Naka-heels pa si Ruth nun ah!
Usual prices: Flats PhP250, Wedges PhP350-400, Slippers PhP100-200
Shoes!!
Shoes!!!
And more shoes!!!!!

It was indeed fun yet tiring and a little frustrating because most of the shoes that I liked were not available in my size.. I got to buy only a pair of wedges! Pero okay lang kasi nagtitipid din naman ako, hehe. Rica grabbed four pairs while Joana and Ruth got two pairs each.

I can't remember the last time that the four of us were together so I really had a great time!

Sorry for the photo overload.. I must say, I missed blogging! :)

P.S.

My bubbly friend Carlo, who was also a volunteer of PBO's last outreach, has created his own blog! I-welcome naten ang ating Baronesa sa blog world.. here's his/her/its link: http://carlkalabawawaw.blogspot.com/

Nagcarlan and Liliw!

Last January, me and my two college bestfriends went to Nagcarlan for a short 2-day vacation. We rode the JAC Liner Bus in Pasay (they also have a terminal in Cubao and their buses are WIFI ready!) and spent 3 hrs on the road (fare is PhP125). We took off at SM San Pablo City and then rode a jeepney to Nagcarlan!

Ruth, me and Joana..
We planned to go to Bunga Falls but it was raining and Ruth's family told us to skip it because it would be dangerous there, so we went to the Underground Cemetery instead. The underground cemetery was declared a national historical landmark by the National Historical Institute in 1978.

Sementeryo sa ilalim ng lupa ng Nagcarlan.
Quite a vast place!

Door leading to the Underground tombs

It feels creepy down there!

After the quick tour in the cemetery, we then decided to go to Liliw! Liliw is just like heaven for me and for those who love shoes! It's like a whole street of shoe stores and everything is so affordable! There's a wide array of flats, doll shoes, sandals, stilettos, wedges, espadrilles and more!

I super love that candy pink shoes but my size is not avail! :(

We were at Liliw by 4pm and stores usually close at 6pm, and come 6:30pm and we were still going back and forth to the stalls and doing some last minute shopping!

Well, eventually, we had to stop and I bought only 4 pairs, 2 sandals and 2 doll shoes! I really wanted to buy more pairs but I had to stop myself because I won't be able to carry all my stuff back home anymore! I just told my friends that next time, I'll bring my luggage and fill it up with shoes! :)

After the shoe shopping, we then decided to take a light snack at Arabella Camello's Bakehouse and Coffee Shop!

Arabella is a small cafe with nice and cozy interiors! They serve mainly pizza, pasta and cakes. The kitchen is open and you can see your food while being prepared.

Food is very affordable, prices range from PhP100 to 150 only. Took about 10 to 15 mins to serve them but it's worth the wait!

Beef Lasagna

Beef, Bacon and Mushroom Pizza

Dulce De Leche Cheesecake!! Yummy!

The pizza and pasta were good, but the cake was really delicious! It was the best tasting cheesecake for me! Very creamy, not to sweet, the cheese is not too tangy, everything is just right, so perfect! Plus the presentation is also very appealing!
