Ark Avilon Zoo!

Hello handsome guys and lovely ladies!

Today is my uber malditang niece's 5th birthday. So last Tuesday nga ay nagpunta kami ng Ark Avilon!

I purchased six advance tickets for PhP200 each.
PhP100 discount compared to reg ticket price!

FX sinakyan namin papuntang Tiendesitas. We arrived in Ark Avilon in no time. Buti na lang hindi heavy traffic. While nagpa-register ako, pictorial na agad ang mi familia amor with the pets for adoption ng Pet-tissimo.

At amazed ako sa mga birds na to kasi kahit walang tali, hindi sila nag-fly me to the moon at escape from Azkaban.

Chaka-bird. Chaka di ba?

May katamaran lang ang mga animals dito. Halos lahat sila tulog. Mula sa tiger, lion, hyena at sa black bear. Oras kasi ata ng siesta yun punta namin.

Naaninag nyo pa ba yung lion?
Ang mga kontrabida sa Lion King!
May naalala kong cartoons nun bata pa ko dito, di ko alam title.
Buti pa siya gising, tulala lang!

And then nilabas yun albino burmese phyton. But this is twice bigger. Bigat at mas mahirap i-control yun head.

Cool na cool Kuya ko oh! Tapang!!

Bad ko no? Hehe.

And then we toured around some more. Madami pang ibang species ng birds at andaming guinea pig. Meron ding sheeps at pygmy pigs.

This one's a turtle. Parang crocodile ang peg.

One of the highlights din ay nun lumabas na sa Jenny. Not sure if she's an orangutan or chimpanzee. Super bango niya. Sabi ni mama, amoy downy daw. Napa-rubadabango tuloy kami.

But we soon found out na iba pala motibo niya.

Pero aliw to!

At yung isip bata. Lol.

That's it!

Side Kwento:

Ipinagdasal ko to, though sabi ko if it's not meant to be e okay lang din. Pero mukhang meant to be, yey! Thank You God.

Taytay Tiangge!

Simplicity is beauty lang ang motto ko in life.

White shorts PhP50; Plain Shirt PhP35
White Skirt PhP75; Blouse (minidress) PhP65
White Cover-up PhP50
Maong shorts PhP120; Oversized blouse PhP65

Anyways, madami pang ibang choices. Like yun mga spaghetti strap or sleeveless blouses na PhP35 lang and dresses na ang price range e from PhP150 to PhP300. Maaarte sila. Joke!  Marami ding pambata, both pang boys and girls, na mga sando na may ternong shorts or pajama. And these are not the usual imported stuff na madalas mabibili sa ibang tiangge, RTWs (ready to wear) to, madami kasi mananahi dito sa Taytay.

P.S.

Hello naman. Matagal na to sa drafts ko. Naisipan ko lang i-publish ngayon. Sobrang tamad kasi kaya walang bagong post. Parang kailangan ko na ng inspiration, hehe.

PBO - WhiteCross Children's Home

It all started out with a simple wish. That turned out to be a huge success. Thank you to everyone who made this outreach program possible.

The Main Event

The first ever Pinoy Bloggers Outreach was held last January 8 at White Cross Children's Home.

We arrived at around 2pm. A total of 12 volunteers, 10 bloggers and 2 non-blogger friends. Mostly I met for the first time but it felt like we've known each other for a long time. We were not assigned roles or anything but I was surprised that when all the supplies arrived, we all acted as one and finished decorating the place and organizing stuff in no time.

It was fun when the kids started coming out. I guess their ages range from 4 to 7. At first, there were a few boys and only one girl at the area. I approached the little girl and was so touched when she immediately hugged me. Her name was Joy. And she kept calling me "mama". I was overwhelmed and really I wanted to take her home with me.

Me and my little bundle of "Joy"

Christian (Senyor of Iskwater Stories) hosted the program that started with a short prayer from Arline (of Pinkline).  And it was followed by games like The Boat is Sinking, Bring Me and Trip to Jerusalem. It was a bit tough but totally fun to conduct games for kids as young as them because they have real short attention span and they get easily distracted. Plus they all want prizes. We had to come out with several winners just to end a game.

And oh, let's not forget the dance number of the three clowns who brought smiles to the kids' faces for their not-so-synchronized moves, lol. But these talented trio also did the fake tattoos and twisted balloons for the kids.

And throughout the event, we also had the online presence and support of two important persons, Vice Presidents Gracie (of Gracie's Network) and Arvin (of Chateau de Archieviner).

Of course, the kids got tired and hungry so we then served food. It was heart melting to see my co-volunteers fed the kids like they were their own.

Before we ended the event, we had a group picture with the kids. Then we joined the kids as they go back to their rooms and had a quick tour around the orphanage. We saw younger kids and babies and they are all so adorable too.

The After Party

We went to Rob Galleria for an early dinner and a quick meeting for our next project.

Voting for the new president -- winner: Zaicy!

And since it seems like we can't get enough of each other, we also had coffee at Starbucks. And a round of drinks at Metrowalk.

Coffee Treat by Mar. Thanks!
Margarita from Senyor. Thanks!

See you on the next PBO, guys! Much Love.
